Terms of Use

Last updated: June 2026. By using SierraMatch at sierramatch.com or our mobile apps, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please read them together with our Community Guidelines and Privacy Policy.

Eligibility

By using SierraMatch, you confirm you are at least 18 years old, legally able to enter into this agreement, and not prohibited from using the service under applicable law. You may use SierraMatch only for personal, non-commercial dating purposes.

Your account

You are responsible for your account credentials and all activity under your account. One person per account — shared, sold, or automated accounts are prohibited. Provide accurate registration information and keep your profile truthful. Notify us if you believe your account was compromised.

Registration & verification

You must provide a valid email address and accurate profile details. We may ask you to verify your identity or age in the future. Creating accounts to evade a ban, impersonate others, or test moderation systems is prohibited.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use SierraMatch for spam, scams, solicitation, harassment, illegal activity, or anything that violates our Community Guidelines or applicable laws. We may investigate and take action on suspected abuse, including removing content or restricting access.

Prohibited conduct

You may not: harass or threaten others; post illegal or exploitative content; solicit money or financial information; scrape or copy user data; reverse engineer the app; interfere with servers or security; use SierraMatch while restricted by applicable law from using dating platforms; or assist others in doing any of the above.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you post. By posting photos, text, and other materials, you grant SierraMatch a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content solely to operate and promote the service. You represent that you have the right to share everything you upload.

Intellectual property

SierraMatch, our logo, design, and app content are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our brand assets without permission. Other users’ photos and messages belong to them — do not repost or share without consent.

Matching & messaging

SierraMatch helps you discover and connect with other members. We do not guarantee matches, responses, or relationship outcomes. Chat is between users; we are not responsible for what others say or do. Use Report and Block tools when needed.

Free tier & fair use

SierraMatch offers a free tier with core features including profile creation, browsing, matching, and chat. Free members may have limits on likes within a rolling time window to reduce spam. These limits may change as we improve the product. Attempting to bypass limits with scripts, multiple accounts, or automation violates these terms.

Premium subscriptions

SierraMatch Premium is optional. Free members can create a profile, browse, match, and chat subject to feature limits. Premium may include benefits such as seeing who liked you, unlimited likes, extra filters, and bonus direct messages each billing period. Plans include 2 weeks, 1 month, and 1 year options. Cancel anytime. When you cancel, Premium access continues until the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated by Apple or Google. Payments, renewals, and refunds are handled by the App Store or Google Play under their terms.

Direct message packs

Direct message credits are consumable in-app purchases processed by Apple or Google. Credits let you send a limited number of messages to people you have not matched with. Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value. Refund requests follow store policies.

Advertising

Free users may see advertisements. Premium subscribers receive an ad-free experience in supported areas. Ad content is provided by third-party networks and is not endorsed by SierraMatch.

Third-party services

Sign-in, payments, maps, ads, and hosting may involve third parties (such as Apple, Google, and Firebase). Your use of those services is also subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party websites or apps linked from SierraMatch.

Disclaimer

SierraMatch is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not conduct criminal background checks on users. You are solely responsible for your interactions online and offline. Exercise caution when meeting people in person.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SierraMatch and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, user conduct, or third-party actions. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or zero if you use the free tier.

Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold SierraMatch harmless from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your content, your conduct toward other users, or your violation of these terms or applicable law, to the extent permitted by law.

Termination

You may stop using SierraMatch at any time and delete your account from Profile → Safety & Legal → Privacy & account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or pose a risk to others, with or without notice where permitted by law.

Disputes & governing law

If a dispute arises, contact us first at support@sierramatch.com so we can try to resolve it informally. These terms are governed by applicable law in the jurisdiction where SierraMatch operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Some regions grant mandatory consumer rights that cannot be waived by contract.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Severability & entire agreement

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining sections stay in effect. These Terms of Use, together with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines, form the entire agreement between you and SierraMatch regarding the service.
