Community Guidelines
SierraMatch is built on respect and authenticity. These guidelines help keep our worldwide community safe, welcoming, and real. Everyone who uses SierraMatch is expected to follow them. Violations may result in content removal, restrictions, or permanent account closure.
Be authentic
Use recent photos of yourself and accurate profile information. Misleading profiles, impersonation, catfishing, and fake identities are not allowed. Do not use photos of celebrities, minors, or other people without their permission.
Be respectful
Treat others with kindness. Harassment, hate speech, slurs, threats, bullying, and discriminatory behavior based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality will result in warnings, suspension, or permanent removal.
Keep it appropriate
Do not share explicit, violent, or illegal content in profiles, photos, or messages. Nudity, sexual content in public profile areas, and graphic violence are prohibited. Keep conversations consensual and appropriate for a dating platform.
Adults only
SierraMatch is strictly for users 18 and older. You must confirm your age when creating an account. Accounts suspected of belonging to minors will be removed and may be reported to authorities where required.
No scams or money requests
Never ask other users for money, gift cards, crypto, wire transfers, or financial help. Romance scams, investment schemes, and fraud are prohibited. Report anyone who pressures you for money immediately.
No spam or promotion
Do not use SierraMatch to advertise businesses, sell products, recruit for other apps, or send bulk unsolicited messages. One account per person — bots and automated activity are not allowed.
Profile photos
Upload at least two clear photos of yourself. Avoid heavily filtered images that misrepresent how you look. Photos must not contain contact information, QR codes, watermarks, or children as the primary subject.
Messaging & direct messages
Be honest and respectful in chat. Unwanted sexual messages, repeated contact after someone has said no, and sharing another person’s private information without consent are violations. Direct message credits and Premium do not give anyone the right to harass others.
Meet safely
If you choose to meet in person, follow our Safety Tips: meet in public, tell a friend your plans, arrange your own transport, and trust your instincts. SierraMatch cannot verify the identity or intentions of every user offline.
Enforcement
We review reports, block lists, and automated signals. Violations may result in content removal, feature limits, temporary suspension, or permanent ban. Serious violations may be referred to law enforcement. Decisions are made to protect the community; repeated or severe violations leave less room for warnings.
Report violations
Use Report and Block on any profile or chat if someone makes you uncomfortable. You can also email support@sierramatch.com. Our moderation team reviews reports and may take action without notifying the reported user of who filed the report.
Consent & boundaries
Accept when someone is not interested. Do not pressure users to meet, send photos, share contact details, or continue chatting after they pass, unmatch, or block you. Consent can be withdrawn at any time. Repeated unwanted contact is harassment even if it happens in separate messages over time.
Be honest about your intentions
State what you are looking for — friendship, dating, or a relationship — and respect others’ relationship goals. Do not lead people on, hide a partner or marriage, or misrepresent your availability. SierraMatch is for genuine connections, not deception.
Inclusion & discrimination
Everyone deserves to feel welcome. Do not attack, exclude, or demean others because of who they are. Profiles or messages that promote violence, supremacist ideology, or dehumanizing language are not allowed. Disagreement is fine; hate is not.
Illegal activity & substances
Do not use SierraMatch to buy or sell drugs, weapons, stolen goods, or other illegal items. Do not promote criminal activity, trafficking, or exploitation. We cooperate with law enforcement on serious safety matters where required.
Off-platform behavior
Behavior that starts on SierraMatch is still covered by these guidelines if it harms another member — including harassment after moving to another app, doxxing, stalking, or sharing private photos without consent. Report serious off-platform harm to us and local authorities when needed.
Blocking, unmatching & privacy
You control your experience. Block anyone at any time; blocked users cannot contact you through the app. Unmatching ends a conversation. Do not attempt to circumvent blocks by creating new accounts or contacting someone through other profiles.
Discover & likes
Use likes and passes genuinely — not to spam or manipulate the feed. Free members have daily like limits that restore over time; this keeps the community healthy. Premium features do not permit abusive or automated swiping.
Moderation & appeals
Our team may remove photos, hide profiles, limit features, or close accounts that break these rules. Automated systems may flag content for review. If you believe action was taken in error, contact support@sierramatch.com with your account email and a clear explanation. We cannot guarantee reinstatement.
Updates to these guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines as SierraMatch grows. The latest version is always on this page. Continued use means you agree to follow the current rules.
